Often times, this type of ministry can be very heavy.
While things seem like they will never change, there are many times when
God has moved in the hearts of those around us in amazing ways!
Here are just some of their stories/testimonies.
“Over the last few years some ladies have come in weekly to visit with us girls at a club. I call them my church ladies even though they have names. At first, I was shocked they even wanted to come near a place that is not so great but they didn’t give up and continually came back weekly. Wow, to think someone who goes to church and has God in their lives would even step foot inside was a shocker. Not one of them has judged me but instead they love on me and make sure I know that God loves me….I’m always excited when they come walking through the door in anticipation of them coming….They have been there for me as I go through difficult situations in my life. They have met me for breakfast to talk to me and also talk over the phone. They have prayed with me. It means so much to know that somebody cares about me and see I am a human with a heart also. Because of these women I have started going back to church. I started praying to my father above and seeing his love….They gave me a beautiful bible with a study guide that makes it very easy to follow and understand… I will always be grateful to these women in my life when I had nobody else to talk to. I want to say thank you to my church ladies for everything you do for me and the gals. I love you all.”

“The church ladies have always brought a lot of support to the club for many girls, which is hard to come by sometimes. They have helped me a lot especially recently by offering advice and prayer. They have guided me toward bettering myself. I recently have accepted a new job and owe a lot of the support to them. I am grateful!”

“At first it's great you feel like you have control and all the money to fix all the problems. It quickly changes to a daily struggle to get out of bed and actually go make the money. It feels very violating but it also felt like it was the only way. I stayed so long because I had to ‘support’ our lifestyle and I knew if I left, he would leave me. You guys helped so much in just being there knowing someone cared about my concerns and needs and wanted nothing in return for that love. In a dark world like that the love you guys show means everything it gives hope.”

"I look back on the old me and don’t know how I lived like that. Living as a dancer put me in a place where sinful people and habits became normal. I didn't even realize I was in such a dark place. Meeting the church ladies gave me someone I could turn to for hope when everything around me was hopeless. I did not feel judged, but I did feel God’s love, and I needed that so badly.”
